Theveena is involved in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Collections Department, and also has experience in family law and the administration of deceased estates.
Theveena completed her BA (Law) and LL.B degrees at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in December 2006 and January 2009 respectively. She completed two years of articles of clerkship with attorneys, MY Baig & Company in Chatsworth, and did the six months’ part time law school course during her articles. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in December 2011, and in September 2012, Theveena secured a position as a professional assistant at Schulz Wiesinger O’Dwyer (now practising as Wiesinger O’Dwyer Inc.) in Ballito, and obtained her High Court right of appearance in January the following year. In 2015, Theveena was appointed as an associate in the firm. She has approximately five years’ post-articles experience.
Her passion to assist people is what drove her to the law and becoming an attorney. Her approach to the law and assisting her clients is to find the most efficient and cost-effective manner to resolve their particular matter. Theveena is compassionate by nature and this filters through to the way she deals with clients, especially those involved in family law matters.
